Abstract:Alzheimer's disease(AD)is a neurodegenerative disease with insidious onset and progressive aggrava-tion.It is the most common cause of dementia. In recent years, studies have found that AD is often accompanied by audi-tory dysfunction. In addition, some studies have confirmed that peripheral auditory dysfunction is an independent risk factor for AD.The correlation between AD and auditory dysfunction has become a new research focus. This article will review the relationship between AD and auditory dysfunction and its mechanism, the characteristics of auditory dysfunc-tion in AD patients and animal models, and the impact of hearing intervention on AD,so as to provide a basis for the pre-vention,clinical diagnosis and treatment of AD.
