Research Progress on Psychological Factors in Persistent Postural Perceptual Dizziness

Abstract:Persistent postural perceptual dizziness(PPPD)is a chronic vestibular syndrome with non-rotational subjective vertigo and instability as its core symptoms,often accompanied by a tendency of anxiety,depression and sleep disorders.In recent years,studies have found that PPPD patients account for a significant proportion in the vertigo clinic.As a disease with interactive physical and mental aspects,psychological factors are very important in PPPD.This study systematically summarizes the interaction between psychological factors and PPPD,psychological intervention methods,and research on PPPD and comorbid psychosocial diseases,focusing on the key role of psychological factors in PPPD treatment,in order to provide a strong basis for the diagnosis and treatment of PPPD.
