The Clinical Application and Research Progress of Intratympanic Drug Administration

Abstract:With the deepening of understanding of inner ear diseases, intratympanic drug administration, with its advantages in bypassing the blood-labyrinth barrier and high drug concentration in the membrane labyrinth, has gradual-ly gained utility in the treatment of inner ear diseases, such as Meniere's disease and sudden sensorineural hearing loss. Clinical applications and research progress of intratympanic drug administration are reviewed in this paper.
