Abstract:Sudden deafness(SD)is a common disease in otolaryngology practice, with its incidence increasing in recent years. The prognosis is not good in some patients. At present,it is generally accepted that thrombosis and micro-circulation disorders from vascular thrombosis play an important role in the pathogenesis of SD.Therefore, some ex-perts recommend anticoagulant thrombolytic therapy with batroxobin,an antithrombotic drug.A number of clinical stud-ies have shown that batroxobin can improve SD treatment outcomes and shorten treatment time.Since different types of hearing loss in sudden deafness may result from different pathogenesis,it is necessary to study batroxobin effecacy in treatment of SD with different hearing loss types. The present paper summarizes batroxobin treatment of SD with differ-ent audiometric patterns with literatures review.
