Expression of Dot1l in Guinea Pig Cochlea

Abstract：Objective To study the expression of Disruptor of telomeric silencing 1-like (Dot1l) in cochleae of guinea pigs.Methods Six guinea pigs with normal hearing were sacrificed and expression of Dot1l in the cochlea was evaluated by immunohistochemistry.Rusults Dot1l was found in the stria vascularis,Reissner's membrane,spiral liga-ment,organ of Corti,spiral limbus and spiral ganglion.From basal turn to apical turn,Dot1l expression in the spiral liga-ment significantly decreased(F=8.29,P=0.0091),while that in the spiral ganglion significantly increased(F=6.22,P=0.0201).Conclusion Dot1l,a protein that may be involved in regulation of ENaC expression,exists in the cochlea of guinea pigs.Dot1l in the cochlea may be involved in regulation of ENaC,and thus related to endolymph regulation.
