Abstract:Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) labeling comprises the third generation of genetic markers. Used in linkage and association analyses, it has been applied in various fields in the area of biological origin research, including evolution and migration of population genetics, pathogenic or disease related susceptible genes, individualized drug thera-py. SNPs and related studies have become the focus of the research about molecular markers. With further development of detection and analysis technologies, SNP research will acclerate progress of bioinformatics, and become an important step towards practical application of the human genomics project.
