Abstract:Persistent Postural-perception Dizziness (PPPD) has been included by the WHO 11th beta draft of Inter-national Classification of Diseases (ICD) in 2015. It is a clinically common form of dizziness, accompanied by persis-tent non-rotational dizziness or subjective sense of instability lasting 3 months or more. It could be exacerbated in the upright posture, movement of the person, movement of the environmental objects, and complex visual stimulation condi-tions. The pathogenesis of PPPD is not yet fully elucidated. The possible hypotheses are:①Classic and operational con-ditioned reflex hypothesis;②Failure of Re-adaptation. Treatment includes medications, vestibular rehabilitation therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. This article reviewed the progress in recent research on PPPD.
