Abstract:Objective To analysis and evaluate the postoperative curative effect and quality of life for children with se-cretory otitis media after tympanostomy tube Combined adenoidectomy, and to provide evidence for clinical treatment. Methods 60 cases (102 ears) of children with secretory otitis media were divided into two groups, the study group with tym-panostomy tube combined adenoidectomy for treatment, the control group only with grommet insertion for treatment, to evaluate the efficacy of two groups, and family members of patients fill in The Chinese Version of The Chronic Ear Sur-vey and OM-6 questionnaire before surgery and about one year after surgery. Results The efficiency in study group was 94.12%,which was statistically significantly higher than that in control group ( 73.08%) ( P<0. 05);The Chinese Version of The Chronic Ear Survey and OM-6 questionnaire score of the two groups was not statistically significant before op-era-tion, but there was significant difference after operation;Each dimension score of The Chinese Version of The Chronic Ear Survey was improved after treatment, P<0.01;OM-6 questionnaire results showed that in addition to speech disorder, other dimensions scores decreased after treatment, P<0.01. Conclusion Tympanostomy tube combined adenoidectomy can effec-tively and Significantly improve the child's hearing, improving the quality of life of the children with secretory otitis media.
