Abstract：Clinical Practice Guideline: Tinnitus was published as a supplement to the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in October 2014. It is the first guideline for tinnitus evaluation and treatment, composed by 23 authors. The purpose of this guideline is to provide evidence-based recommendations for clinicians managing patients with tinnitus. The target patient population is limited to adults (18 years and older) with primary tinnitus that is persistent and bothersome. This article aims at giving an interpretation of the guideline in connection with the development of tinnitus management in China.
