Abstract:Objective To investigate effects of vestibular Stimuli on cognitive processing using event-related potentials. Methods Twelve healthy men participated in the study. During testing, the participant was seated in a revolving chair and performed visual tasks under either the testing or control conditions, while his original EEG data were recorded. Results After vestibular stimulation, significant decrease in MMN amplitudes were seen at CPZ and PZ. Conclusion Vestibular stimula?tion can affect other functions of the human body, including inhibition of visual signals perception, especially during signals se?lection tasks.
