Abstract: Objective To investigate the advantages of continuous negative pressure combined with venous indwelling needle drainage in managing auricle Pseudocyst. Methods Seventy three patients diagnosed with auricle Pseudocyst were ran-domly selected to receive venous indwelling needle drainage with or without continuous negative pressure The first treatment cure rate was compared between the two groups. Results The auricular psudocyst resolved in all 73 cases after treatment, al-though the first treatment cure rate in patients with continuous negative pressure therapy was higher than those without (P<0.05).Conclusion Venous indwelling needle drainage with continuous negative pressure appears to be advantageous over simple indwelling needle drainage in treating auricle pseudocyst with higher first treatment cure rate and is a minimal inva-sive and simple with quick results.
