Abstract:Based on Professor Jiang Quan's"Body-Viscera Combined Impediment"theory, this paper explores the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)pathogenesis of rheumatic immune diseases(RIDs)combined with peripheral neuropathy(PN)and discusses acupuncture treatment strategies.Utilizing the theoretical framework of"sinews as the body, collaterals as the pivot, and viscera as the root",the pathological transmission mechanism of RIDs-PN,characterized by"body impediment affecting the viscera and visceral impediment damaging the body",is analyzed.Accordingly,an acupuncture treatment strategy of"simultaneous treatment of body and viscera"is proposed. The core pathogenesis is revealed as external pathogens obstructing the sinews, prolonged illness entering the collaterals leading to collateral stasis, and internal damage to the viscera, forming a vicious cycle of"body impediment affecting the viscera and visceral impediment affecting the body".Based on this,an acupuncture treatment system integrating three synergistic methods—"treating sinews to relieve symptoms, unblocking collaterals to resolve stasis, and regulating viscera to address the root cause"—is constructed.The"Body-Viscera Combined Impediment"theory provides a holistic perspective for explaining the complex pathogenesis of"mutual transmission between body and viscera"in RIDs-PN.The acupuncture strategy of"simultaneous treatment of body and viscera",through the synergy of relaxing sinews, unblocking collaterals, and regulating viscera, achieves both symptomatic and root-cause treatment, offering new insights for developing systematic clinical intervention plans.
