Abstract:Based on the theory of latent pathogens in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),this article explores the TCM diagnosis and treatment approach for pulmonary nodules.Through an analysis of the clinical characteristics of pulmonary nodules,it systematically expounds on the disease classification, etiology, and pathogenesis of pulmonary nodules within the TCM framework, specifically the patterns of healthy Qi deficiency with pathogens lying dormant,Qi stagnation combined with phlegm and blood stasis, and congealment of latent pathogens. This reveals their close connection with the concept of latent pathogens.Consequently,it introduces the Tuotou Zhuxie method as the therapeutic principle for treating pulmonary nodules. The core of this method is to reinforce the healthy Qi,eliminate pathogens, and guide treatment according to the prevailing condition.Furthermore, the article elaborates in detail on the integrated clinical application strategies of this principle, encompassing its theory, methodology, formula construction, and herb selection. This is discussed through four key aspects:reinforcing healthy Qi to expel pathogens, diffusing the lung to release pathogens, unblocking collaterals to discharge pathogens, and resolving phlegm to remove stasis. The aim is to provide theoretical guidance and practical reference for the TCM-based regulation and treatment of pulmonary nodules.
