Abstract：Headache is one of the most common neurological diseases in clinical practice,and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)exhibits unique advantages in its treatment.Through long-term practice,TCM has continuously enriched and improved the clinical diagnosis and treatment approach for headache.As the cornerstone of TCM theory and academic thoughts,Inner Canon of Huangdi comprehensively documents the disease name,etiology,pathogenesis,diagnosis,and treatment of headache.This paper delves into the relevant records of headache in Inner Canon of Huangdi,tracing its origins and categorizing discussions based on the anatomical structure,physiological characteristics,and functions of the head,as well as the disease name,etiology,pathogenesis,diagnosis,and treatment of headache.It summarizes and refines the triple understanding of headache and clinical diagnosis and treatment approach in Inner Canon of Huangdi,aiming to provide new insights for clinical diagnosis and treatment of headache.
