Abstract:Temporal rhythms play a critical role in the process of gestation, yet they are often overlooked in modern medicine. The Yunqi theory in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)emphasizes that the cyclical changes in the Qi transformation of heaven and earth significantly influence the gestation of life, particularly in terms of"conception"and"nurturing".This study explores the impact of Yunqi rhythms on gestation based on the annual cycles of the five circuits and six Qi,systematically examining the states of fertility and gestation in humans over a sixty-year cycle. The authors propose that in-depth research and practical application of the Yunqi theory in fertility and gestation can leverage the unique strengths of TCM in reproductive health. On one hand, selecting favorable Yunqi periods can improve conception rates for individuals with weak constitutions, recurrent miscarriages,or multiple failed assisted reproductive attempts. On the other hand, preventive measures can be taken during unfavorable Yunqi periods for high-risk groups to reduce the incidence of miscarriage and premature birth. This approach provides valuable guidance for achieving"preventive treatment"and promoting eugenics and optimal nurturing.
