Abstract:Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)classics serve as a fundamental repository of TCM theory, characterized by a complex knowledge system and rich semantic diversity. However, current knowledge organization methods face challenges such as inconsistent classification standards, insufficient terminology normalization, and inadequate semantic expression, along with a lack of end-to-end linkage from classification to semantics and mechanisms for mapping classical to contemporary terms, which hinder effective knowledge utilization. This study innovatively integrates TCM theory with modern semantic technologies to propose a Classification-Terminology-Vocabulary-Semantics(CTVS)framework for knowledge organization.By standardizing terminology in TCM classics and establishing a conceptual classification system with multiple semantic relationships between concepts, the framework constructs a comprehensive pathway linking foundational classifications to deep semantics. It effectively addresses key issues in organizing knowledge from TCM classics, enhancing the accuracy and comprehensiveness of knowledge retrieval. The framework provides essential support for constructing TCM knowledge graphs, developing intelligent question-answering systems, and assisting clinical and scientific decision-making.Ultimately,it enhances the service efficacy of TCM knowledge organization and information systems, facilitating the systematic integration and efficient utilization of multi-source heterogeneous knowledge across historical and modern contexts.
