Developmental Path and Prospects of the Digital and Intelligent Applications of Traditional Chinese Medicine Classics

Abstract：The theoretical knowledge and practical experience preserved in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)classics serve as vital resources for the innovative development of modern TCM.Effectively extracting high-quality knowledge from these classics and transforming it to address contemporary clinical challenges is essential for leveraging classical wisdom in clinical practice and scientific innovation.However,challenges such as difficulties in interpreting classical knowledge,weak connections between ancient and modern contexts,and insufficient transformation and application significantly hinder the full utilization of these classics.There is an urgent need to adopt technologies like artificial intelligence and big data to overcome bottlenecks in knowledge organization,mining,and clinical application.This paper proposes an integrated development path for the digital and intelligent advancement of TCM classics,encompassing five key dimensions:knowledge,methodology,technology,platform,and talent.Furthermore,it outlines prospects for the research and application of TCM classics in the intelligent era,focusing on knowledge discovery,clinical decision support,inheritance of renowned physicians'expertise,and drug development assistance.
