Abstract:Objective To define traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)techniques appropriate for the needs and characteristics of primary care, and to clarify their attributes, thereby providing a theoretical basis and methodological reference for the screening, evaluation, and promotion of such techniques at the grassroots level. Methods Through literature review, expert interviews, and the Delphi method, the concept and attributes of primary care-appropriate TCM techniques were defined by focusing on key factors such as application scenarios, technical advantages, and promotion strategies. Results Two researchers extracted 22,966 related terms from 416 web articles, which were filtered and consolidated into 122 keywords.Through expert interviews and two rounds of Delphi surveys, the conceptual definition and attribute characteristics of primary care-appropriate TCM techniques were finalized. Conclusion Primary care-appropriate TCM techniques are defined as TCM diagnostic and therapeutic methods characterized by ease of operation, rapid effectiveness,safety,cost-effectiveness,high patient acceptance, and strong originality.Their attributes encompass four dimensions:clinical applicability, technical origin, distinctive features, and promotion/recognition.Such techniques are often colloquially referred to as"one unique skill"diagnosis and treatment techniques in primary care settings.
