Abstract:"Toxin-deficiency pathogenesis"theory is one of the core doctrines of Zhuang medicine, reflected in aspects of Zhuang medical etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention and treatment.Zhuang medicine posits that toxin evils arise from external pathogenic factors or internal injuries due to diet, damaging the human body's Gu Dao(the digestive tract)and leading to a state of deficiency in the Gu Dao.Consequently, the functions of intake and transportation are impaired, and the body's external defense mechanisms fail, leading to the internal generation of toxin evils or re-infection by external evils. These toxin evils then linger in the Long Lu(nerve pathway)and Huo Lu(fire pathway)networks, causing further pathological changes."Network blockage leading to Bi syndrome"is an important pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Current domestic and international studies have shown that dysbiosis of the gut microbiota affects the intestinal mucosal immune function, leading to systemic immune system disorders.Immune complexes and other substances continuously accumulate in the joints, triggering RA.This pathological mechanism is similar to the pathogenesis of RA caused by"toxin-deficiency",suggesting a potential link between the two. This paper aims to explore the commonalities between the"toxin-deficiency pathogenesis"mechanism in RA and gut microbiota dysbiosis, with the expectation of providing a theoretical basis for the treatment of RA in Zhuang medicine and promoting the modern development of Zhuang medicine.
