Abstract:Using historical data from Zhong Guo San Qian Nian Yi Zai Shi Liao Hui Bian and meteorological records, this study analyzes droughts/floods and epidemics in Henan during Qianlong-Jiaqing-Daoguang periods(1736-1850).Findings reveal alignment with the"Three-year epidemic transformation"(San Nian Hua Yi,三年化疫)Theory from Su Wen Yi Pian:abnormal climates from specific circuit and Qi patterns persisted 2-3 years before epidemics.Xiang-thinking elucidates intrinsic links between epidemics and Qi changes of heaven and earth, offering new perspectives for TCM epidemiology.
