Abstract:Coronary artery bifurcation lesions are a challenging issue in the field of percutaneous coronary intervention.Professor Weng Weiliang believes that the progression and severity of coronary heart disease are closely related to the anatomical characteristics of the coronary arteries, and the bifurcation sites are more prone to vascular stenosis and thrombosis. Therefore,he emphasizes that the obstruction of the coronary vessels at the bifurcation is more severe, and advocates the use of"blood-activating and meridian-unblocking"as the main treatment principle throughout the clinical practice. He also stresses the importance of flexibly combining various methods of blood-activating and stasis-resolving,including Qi-invigorating and blood-activating,Qi-regulating and blood-activating,heat-clearing and blood-activating,phlegm-dispelling and blood-activating,warming Yang and blood-activating,Yin-nourishing and blood-activating,among twelve other approaches. The treatment should combine unblocking with supplementation, using unblocking as a form of supplementation, and ensuring that supplementation does not lead to stagnation, thereby promoting the establishment of collateral circulation, recovery of organ function, and improvement of patients'quality of life.
