Abstract:In recent years, the incidence of Crohn's disease has been gradually increasing, seriously affecting patients'quality of life.In traditional Chinese medicine, this condition can be classified under the category of"diarrhea"in the Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases.By comparing the main clinical symptoms of Crohn's disease with the six meridian syndromes described in the Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases,we believe that it is mainly related to the Yangming syndrome,Jueyin syndrome,Taiyin syndrome, and Shaoyin syndrome, and may also present as a combined syndrome. The treatment principles primarily include clearing heat, eliminating stagnation, warming, and tonifying. For the Yangming syndrome,it can be further divided into damp-heat syndrome and damp-stasis syndrome. The former is treated with Gegen Qinlian Tang to clear damp-heat,while the latter is treated with Yiyi Fuzi Baijiang San to resolve dampness and drain pus.The Jueyin syndrome is managed with Wumei Wan to harmonize cold and heat. The Taiyin syndrome is treated with Shen Ling Baizhu San to strengthen the spleen and remove dampness.Renshen Tang can also be used to warm Yang. The Shao yin syndrome is addressed with modifications of Jinkui Shenqi Wan and Taohua Tang to tonify deficiency. For combined syndromes, appropriate combinations of formulas can be used, which can help prevent infection and reduce complications. This approach provides new theoretical foundations and practical pathways for the clinical treatment of complex intestinal diseases.
