Exploring the Treatment Approach for Chronic Heart Failure Based on the Principle of"Treating Flaccidity Only Taking Yangming"

Abstract：Chronic heart failure(CHF)is the terminal stage of the progression of various heart diseases.The characteristics of its structural changes and functional decline are highly similar to those of"flaccidity syndrome".Drawing on the treatment principle of"treating flaccidity only taking Yangming"for flaccidity syndrome,this paper takes the"Yangming system"as a new target for the treatment of CHF with traditional Chinese medicine.Starting from two aspects of the Yangming Fu-organs and the Yangming meridians,three methods for regulating and caring for the stomach Qi of Yangming are proposed,namely replenishing the stomach Qi,harmonizing the stomach Qi,and protecting the stomach Qi.Combined with three methods for regulating the Yangming meridians,such as using insect-derived drugs as adjuvants to dredge the meridians and treating the extraordinary vessels to regulate Yangming,and using acupuncture and medicine in combination,it is expected to provide new ideas and methods for the treatment of CHF.
