Abstract:Atrial fibrillation falls within the scope of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)conditions known as"palpitation"and"severe palpitation".The concepts of"Xuanfu"(sweat pore)and"Xinluo"(heart collateral)represent TCM's microscopic understanding of human body structures. This study explores the pathogenesis of atrial fibrillation from the perspective of the"Xuanfu-Xinluo"Theory,proposing that the blockage of Xuanfu is the initial cause of atrial fibrillation,Qi stagnation in the Xinluo is the key factor, and the adhesion of phlegm and blood stasis is the final stage. In treatment,it is essential to start from the micro-level,using pungent herbs to relieve depression and promote Qi movement, thereby opening up the Xuanfu;employing tonifying herbs to strengthen healthy Qi and nourish the Xinluo;and utilizing blood-activating and stasis-resolving drugs to promote Qi and blood circulation. It is also advisable to add wind-dispersing medicines with pungent properties to eliminate pathogens and enhance efficacy. This approach aims to provide new theoretical foundations and treatment strategies for clinical research on atrial fibrillation.
