Clinical Application Status of Rhizoma Cimicifuga and Its Chemical Components

Abstract：Rhizoma Cimicifuga has been one of the main research hotspots in the field of traditional Chinese medicine in recent years.This study utilized the academic platform of China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)to sort out and analyze the literature related to Rhizoma Cimicifuga,with a focus on the research of the traditional Chinese medicine,Chinese herbal medicine and clinical application fields of Rhizoma Cimicifuga.Based on the research in these fields,the clinical application status of Rhizoma Cimicifuga and its pharmacological chemical components were explored.Rhizoma Cimicifuga is widely used in many countries.In China,Rhizoma Cimicifuga has a medicinal history of more than two thousand years.In clinical practice,Rhizoma Cimicifuga is commonly used in combination therapy for treating diseases.It is known that 243 prescriptions contain Rhizoma Cimicifuga.The main functions of Rhizoma Cimicifuga in these prescriptions include clearing rashes,clearing heat and detoxifying,and promoting Yang Qi.Rhizoma Cimicifuga single herb has antipyretic,analgesic,and anti-inflammatory effects.Currently,it is clinically effective in treating menopausal syndrome in women and inflammatory diseases.In recent years.With the research and excavation of biological and pharmacological activities of Rhizoma Cimicifuga and its chemical components,it was found that Rhizoma Cimicifuga and its chemical components have potential effects and therapeutic value on many diseases,such as tumors,osteoporosis,allergic disease,hyperlipidemia,diabetes and senile dementia,but there is a lack of corresponding clinical synchronous research and verification.This study systematically reviews and analyzes the current clinical application status of Rhizoma Cimicifuga and its chemical constituents,providing a possibility to expand the clinical application scope of Rhizoma Cimicifuga.
