Ma Kun's Experience in Using Pair Drugs to Treat Sleep Disorders During Perimenopause

Abstract：Professor Ma Kun integrated the theory of five Zang organs storing spirits,the interplay of Yin and Yang in wakefulness and sleep,Kan-Li from eight trigrams,and the characteristics of female heart(brain)-kidney-uterine axis and perimenopause,so that proposing the the disease locations were mainly in the heart and kidney,with patient condition changes predominantly involving imbalances in Yin and Yang.The treatment of sleep disorders during perimenopause was significant for balancing disease through adjusting,herbal medicinal properties and efficacy,relieving clinical symptoms with sweet-flavored herbal,tonifying kidney and promoting blood circulation,harmonizing water and fire,and tonifying kidney,calming heart,nourishing liver and tranquilizing the mind by flexible application of classical prescription and pair drugs.
