Preliminary Exploration of the Academic Characteristics of Zhang Xichun's Postpartum Disease

Abstract：Yi Xue Zhong Zhong Can Xi Lu contains numerous records of Zhang Xichun's effective and unique treatment experiences regarding postpartum disease.This article summarizes Zhang Xichun's academic characteristics towards postpartum disease treatment.Zhang believed that women are often deficient after childbirth and that vital energy is key.For postpartum diagnosis,maternal pulse should be combined with pulse insight to identify the severity of the deficiency.Zhang also creatively proposed the pulse theory of atmospheric depression.When treating postpartum diseases,identifying evidence is the first priority,and good knowledge of medicine should be put to use.In the treatment of postpartum diseases,postpartum temperature disease should be treated with cold and cool therapy instead of impetuous therapy.For the treatment of postpartum obstruction caused by mass in the abdomen,the principle of not perishing should be followed.For postpartum emergency treatment,the principle is to use the medicine only if there is a cause and not to die.To treat postpartum emergencies,a large amount of medicine is used,and the medicine is taken slowly and several times,in order to win the disease.The academic features of Zhang's postpartum illness treatments have enriched the treatment experience of postpartum diseases and have certain guiding significance for modern clinical practice.
