Abstract:Ye Tianshi,a physician of the Qing dynasty, put forward the theory of the accumulation of turbid Yin Qi into Jia in his Guidelines for Clinical Practice to explain the formation process of some Zheng-Jia.Ye Tianshi's theory was based on the Huang Di Nei Jing and the Pu Ji Fang.He believed that in some Zheng-Jia cases, turbid Yin pathogenic factors transmit from the Qi to the blood and eventually accumulate in the collaterals to form Zheng-Jia.This process is divided into two stages:Qi accumulation and collateral stasis. For each stage,Ye Tianshi listed relevant formulas and medications, forming a relatively complete system for the syndrome differentiation and treatment of Zheng-Jia,which provides references for later generations.Ye Tianshi's theory of the accumulation of turbid Yin Qi into Jia emphasizes the transmission process of cold pathogenic factors. It differs from the common academic perspective that Zheng-Jia is caused by heat-induced stasis and the transmission of heat pathogenic factors in the theory of warm diseases. Therefore,it supplements the theory of etiology and pathogenesis Zheng-Jia disease.By delving into the content and treatment methods of Ye Tianshi's theory and analyzing the transmission process of Zheng-Jia,it is possible to arrest the disease progression in the early stage of Qi accumulation and prevent the disease from worsening. This provides new ideas for the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of cancer.
