Research Progress on Mechanism of Tongfu Method in Treating Cerebral Ischemic Stroke

Abstract：Cerebral ischemic stroke(CIS)is one of the common major chronic diseases with high morbidity,disability and mortality,which seriously endangers human health.This article discusses the mechanism of Tongfu method in treating ischemic stroke at home and abroad in recent years,and classifies and summarizes according to different targets and mechanisms.The mechanism of Tongfu method for ischemic stroke was reviewed from the aspects of inhibiting inflammation,improving local blood flow,alleviating brain edema,inhibiting nerve cell apoptosis,alleviating excitatory amino acid toxicity,inhibiting oxidative stress,and promoting the recovery of disorganized bacteria-gut-brain axis,in order to provide a basis for the clinical treatment of ischemic stroke with traditional Chinese medicine and further experimental research.
