Abstract:Autoimmune thyroid disease(AITD)is an organ-specific autoimmune disease. How to fundamentally improve the immune status is a major difficulty in the current treatment of AITD.It has been found that vitamin D deficiency exists in AITD,and regulating vitamin D may be a new target for the treatment of AITD.Vitamin D is functionally and pathologically related to the"kidney"in Chinese medicine, and kidney tonic prescriptions can regulate the level of vitamin D,thereby improving the immune state of AITD,and playing a certain therapeutic role.Based on this, this paper puts forward the idea of"treating AITD from the kidney theory",and further supports its possibility and mechanism based on the research results of modern medicine,in order to provide new ideas and new ways for the treatment of AITD.
