Abstract:Chronic refractory cough(also known as"Wan Ke"in traditional Chinese medicine)is a thorny problem that urgently needs to be solved in clinical practice.Professor Miao Qing is skilled in using traditional Chinese medicine to treat Wan Ke.He believes that the etiology of Wan Ke is complex and involves multiple organs and systems.And according to the etiology and pathogenesis,Wan Ke is divided into five syndromes:wind-cold cough,Qi-depressed cough,damp-hot cough,Yin-deficiency cough,and Yang-deficiency cough.This article intends to introduce Professor Miao Qing's experience in treating Wan Ke,expound its differentiation and treatment methods and medication characteristics from"Five types of cough",and provide new ideas and reference for the diagnosis and treatment of chronic refractory cough.
