Thoughts on Differentiation and Treatment of Viral Pneumonia by Stages of Xuanfei Sanxie

Abstract：Viral pneumonia is a highly contagious respiratory disease with a rapid course of disease and an increasing incidence in recent years.And there is a good theoretical and clinical basis for the staged treatment of infectious diseases in Chinese medicine.This article summarizes the syndrome differentiation and treatment,and attaches the case to explain its clinical application.It is pointed out that the syndrome differentiation of viral pneumonia emphasizes the identification of different evil Qi such as dampness,heat,cold,poison and dryness and different syndrome factors such as heat toxin,phlegm turbidity,water dampness,blood stasis and asthenic disease,and the key pathogenesis is the invasion of lung by warm evil and stagnation of lung Qi.When the treatment takes Xuanfei Sanxie as the core,according to different stages such as the initial stage,the middle stage,the severe stage and the recovery stage,a variety of dispelling evil methods such as penetration,clearing,dissipation and purgative method are flexibly used.The treatment is based on the classical prescriptions with the add and subtract,so as to provide reference for clinical treatment.
