Abstract：Zao Qi Zong Lun,written by Chen Baoshan,a physician in the late Qing dynasty,is a monograph that systematically discusses the syndrome and treatment of exogenous dryness pathogens.The book believes that dryness pathogens have the pathogenic characteristics of cold pathogen,fire pathogen and dampness pathogen.In the pathogenesis,there are two different forms of direct pathogenesis and indirect pathogenesis.In the course of the disease,it follows the law of first lung and then stomach,first Qi and then blood and collaterals.Zao Qi Zong Lun attaches great importance to the use of Xinsan powder in the treatment of dryness pathogens related diseases,and takes the Maxing Shigan decoction and Daqinglong decoction from the Treatise on Febrile Diseases as the basic prescriptions for the treatment of dryness pathogens diseases.In order to provide readers with examples and references,the book is attached with the Zao Qi Yan An to explain the unfinished details of the Zao Qi Zong Lun.Zao Qi Zong Lun has a unique discussion on the pathogenesis and diagnosis and treatment of dryness pathogens related diseases,which may provide new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment for diseases such as radiation damage and Sjögren's syndrome.
