Professor SHI Qi Way on the Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis——An Analysis of "Shaoyang Dominates bone"

Abstract：Basing on the academic ideology of treating knee osteoarthritis (KOA) from liver and kidney,Prof.Shi discriminated ‘ Shaoyang in charge of bone’ theory and found that ‘ Guyao’ may be the first discussion on KOA in the world.Meanwhile,he combined the essence of SHI traumatology with ‘harmonization’ method,and applying Sheng-Yu decoction to treat KOA by understanding KOA from symptoms and pathogenesis.Further,Prof.SHI put forward a new view of treating KOA by using the theory of ‘ Shaoyang in charge of bone’.The treatment rules he made is as follows:reconciling Shaoyang,regulating qi-blood and achieving balance.This paper will analyze the theory of ‘ Shaoyang in charge of bone’ and summarize Prof.Shi's academic thoughts.We hope to expand the internal treatment of orthopedics.
