Abstract：Yang Sheng Bi Yong Fang,the full name of which is Ancient and Modern Recorded Effective Formulas for Keeping Health,was written by CHU Yu-shi,a famous doctor in the Northern Song Dynasty.The carving copy edition of this book in Song Dynasty has been missed in the long history,the only edition persisted was the handwritten copy by YE Ting-guan in Qing dynasty.After being published,the book has been quoted by many other medical formularies.When comparing related quotation in different medical formularies,we found that some contents in the existing orphan handwritten copy have been missed.While in these lost articles,some valuable clinical prescription and treatment and also some historical accounts of past events have been recorded,In that case,fulfill the Yang Sheng Bi Yong Fang on the basis of the existing orphan handwritten copy was of great importance for the modern clinical application of effective formulas and the inheritance of ancient references.
