Small Splint Fixation of Fracture in Ancient China from the Perspective of Philosophy of Technology

Abstract：Fracture is the most common disease in Department of orthopedics,which is the most obvious subject to show the level of medical technology in the system of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).The literature of traditional Chinese medicine shows that fixation is the main method in the treatment of fractures in the past dynasties.The transformation of the materials of splint and the fixation methods of Chinese orthopedics and traumatology reflect the characteristics of technical change.With splintage for example,this paper objectively returns to original state scene of the formation of fracture treatment technology,analyses the reasons for the change of splint fixation in the treatment of bone fracture,and reveals the significance of methodology and scientific value of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of bone fracture from the perspective of philosophy of technology.
