Abstract：In the Qing Dynasty,Xin'an doctors,Yu Gui-pei,set up the theory of "taking dryness and dampness as outline",The principle of "dryness and dampness" is used to explain the pathogenesis,diagnosis and treatment of the disease,and its theory is applied to the treatment of various diseases.Yu Guo-pei's "taking dryness and dampness as outline" is a set of rational recipe and unique clinical ideas.His theory greatly enriched and developed the etiology and pathogenesis of dampness in Chinese medicine and the theory system of syndrome differentiation and treatment.We discuss and summarize the thought of Yu Guo-pei's "taking dryness and dampness as outline",with a view to guiding the diagnosis and treatment of clinical related diseases.
