Abstract:Objective:To explore the association between serum interleukin-6 (IL-6),interleukin-10 (IL-10) level and nerve function and observe the effect of Safflower injection in acute cerebral infarction (ACI) patients.Methods:97 cases of acute cerebral infarction patients were using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for detection of serum IL-6 and IL-10 levels for analyse their correlation and compared with healthy control group. All patients were use "The Envelope Method" divided into the treatment group and control group randomly:the routine therapy group (the patients were given routine therapy) and safflower injection group (the patients were given safflower injection 14 days in addition to the routine Therapy). The neurology functional and the serum levels of IL-6 and IL-10 were investigated in 24 h、7 d、14 d and 30 d after the therapy. Results:The serum IL-6 and IL-10 levels in the patients with ACI were significantly higher than those in the healthy control group (P < 0.05).The serum levels of IL-6 and IL-10 were correlated with the clinical impairment neurologic degree scores(P <0.05).The serum levels of IL-6 and IL-10 in patients of the safflower injection group were significantly lower than the patients of routine therapy group in 7 d and 14d.The neurologic function of the safflower injection group was better than that of the routine therapy group at 7 d、14 d、30 d after the therapy. Conclusions:The serum levels of IL-6 and IL-10 are significantly elevated in the patients with ACI.The serum levels of IL-6 and IL-10 are correlated with the volumes of infarction and the clinical neurologic impairment degree scores.the safflower injection may have certain neuroprotective effects in ACI patients.
