Thoughts and Methods of Studying Thick and Thin Pulses

Abstract：The eight elements which constitute pulse condition include pulse width,pulse depth,pulse power,pulse frequency,pulse rhythm,pulse fluency,pulse tensity and pulse evenness.How to describe pulse width objectively is key point and difficult point in the pulse study.The research process this paper mentions is based on the ancient doctors' cognition about the pulse width,and refer to the native and foreign research production on the pulse width.Using the advanced device for testing pulse width,we test pulse width objectively and quantificationally based on the reason and machanism how the pulse width form.We do our effort to try to find a series of new methods to test pulse width.After analysing the data we have got from experiment we hope can primarily create a pulse width quantification index and can express the pulse width objectively.
