The Effect of Shenyanning on IgA Nephropathy Rats in Terms of the Expression of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effect of Shenyanning on the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).Methods:SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:control group,model group,Western medicine group and zhongyao group,and afforded with the medicine respectively.At the fifteenth week,24h urine protein quant (U Pro),the RBC morphous in urine,nephridial tissue pathology and VEGF were detected with relative technique.Results:In Western medicine and zhongyao groups,the levels of UPro,apposition and IgA immunofluorescence were significantly decreased in contrast with model groups (P ＜ 0.05);Compared with model group,the RBC morphous in urine in Zhongyao group were decreased significantly (P ＜ 0.01) while it were not statistically significant in the Western medicine group;In Western medicine and zhongyao groups,the levels of the expression of VEGF were significantly decreased in contrast with model group(P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion:Shenyanning could treat IgA nephropathy rats effectively by suppressing the expression of VEGF.
