Abstract:Objective:To explore the urine metabonomic profile of angina pectoris patients with phlegm-turbid syndrome and blood-stasis syndrome. To examine potential application of metabonomic analysis in studies of Chinese Traditional Medicine syndromes of Angina Pectoris patients. Methods:Totally 12 cases of angina pectoris patients with phlegm-turbid syndrome (APPS),12 cases angina pectoris patients with blood-stasis syndrome (APBS) were enrolled in this study and their urine metabolites were analyzed using Hydro-Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (~1H NMR) spectrometer for the Partial Least Squares Discriminant Analysis (PLS-DA).Result:PLS-DA of urine ~1H-NMR spectra revealed different metabolic spectra between APPS patients and APBS patients, demonstrated that the metabolic characteristics of the two groups were significantly different.Compared with APPS patients,Citrate,α-ketoglutarate,Cis-aconitic acid,Glucose,3-Hydroxybutyrate,Acetone,Tyrosine,creatine,TMAO,Dimethylamine,Hippurate increased in APBS patients, while Bile acids,Histidine decreased considerably. Conclusion:Characteristic metabolic products in two groups can be identified by ~1H-NMR based metabonomics analysis.Metabonomic study is a feasible and promising way to detect the variation of urine etabonomics of Angina Pectoris patients with different TCM Syndromes.
