Effects of Tripterygium Glycoside on Cytochrome P450 Serum Concentration in Phenobarbital-treated Rat

Abstract：Objective; To investigate effects of Tripterygium Glycoside(TG) on cytochrome P450 serum concentration in phenobarbital-treated rat. Methods: Test rats were separately divided into three groups: phenobarbital-treated rat control group;combined TG experimental group and blank group, phenobarbital and P450 concentration were measured at different time points in each group. Results Combination group showed strong induction and accorded with its own rhythm of change, it expedited induction of Phenobarbital obviously. phenobarbital Tmax was moved forward by Tripterygium Glycoside. Conclusion: There were inevitably link between Tripterygium Glycoside P450 metabolic enzymes and induced P450 enzyme by Phenobarbital.
