Abstract:Objective:To research on the energy metabolism of mitochondris and its regulation of aging rats with “deficiency of Kidney Yin or Kidney Yang”. Methods:According to the post-pedes temperature, the SD senile rats were divided into “kidney yang deficiency” group、control、“kidney yin deficiency” group. The liver mitochondrial respiratory function the activity of oxidase MDA and free calcium concentration liver Na+-K+-ATPase, serum free triiodinethyroxine(FT3)、free tetra-iodinethyroxine(FT4)、testosterone(T)、hypothalamus NE content and heart rate、were estimated by the oxygen electrode method and radioimmunoassay etc. Results:The liver mitochondrial respiratory function、the activity of oxidase、free calcium concentration、liver Na+-K+-ATPase, serum free triiodinethyroxine(FT3)、free tetra-iodinethyroxine(FT4)、testosterone(T)and hypothalamus NE content in “kidney yang deficiency” group were significantly decreased than the “kidney yin deficiency” group, mitochondrial MDA content of “kidney yang deficiency”, however, was higher obviously. Conclusion:The energy production and energy expenditure of “kidney yang deficiency” group were lower, oxidative damage were more serious than “kidney yin deficiency” group and was correlated to the mitochondrial self-regulation and neuro-endocrinal regulation.
