On “Wood Over-restricting Earth” and “Wood Failing to Regulate the Spleen-qi”,and Others__Discussion on Pathogenesis of Incoordination between the Liver and the Spleen

Abstract：The paper questions the validity of the point of view thatincoordination between the liver and the spleen results from “wood over-restricting earth” and “earth violating wood”.According to the TCM theory of restriction and violation in the five elements and the physiological function of the liver,the paper holds that incoordination between the liver and the spleen results mainly from stagnation of the liver-qi leading to the condition that wood fails to regulate earth,and from damp and the stagnation of the liver-qi.
