Abstract：This article briefly expounds the rules of competence verification in the electrical field in terms of materials,electricity,structure,performance and analysis tests of harmful substances.By analyzing the competence verification of creepage distance and electrical clearance as a practical case,it clarifies the selection of measuring equipment and the shortest creepage distance and electrical clearance paths,provides a outcome assessment of Z-score to confirm the accuracy of the selected path,and provides details to be noted during the measurement process.It offers reference suggestions for third-party testing institutions and enterprise laboratories participating in this competence Verification.
