Research on the Application of Narrow-band Green Phosphors in Phosphor-converted White LEDs
LI Jinkun
Abstract:Traditional phosphor-converted white LEDs(PC-WLED)generally use broad-spectrum green phosphors, resulting in low R9 color rendering index and insufficient radiation luminous efficiency(LER).In this paper, the narrow-band green phosphor is introduced to replace the traditional broad-spectrum phosphor, and the synergistic optimization of high R9 and high LER is realized without introducing deep red phosphor(≥635 nm).In this paper, the technical route, implementation scheme and data calculation are systematically reviewed, and the influence of narrow-band green phosphors on spectral quality, energy efficiency and industrialization prospect is discussed. The results show that:(1)In the color temperature range of 2700 K-3500 K,the narrow-band green phosphor can increase R9 to≥50,the color score ratio is A,and the LER is about 300 lm/W;(2)The controllable depression in the range of 550-580 nm increases the red-green contrast by more than 30%,and the yellow light can be suppressed without a filter;(3)The structure simplifies the phosphor system and reduces the Stokes loss of deep red photons, which provides a new idea for full-spectrum LEDs in high color rendering scenarios such as healthy lighting and livestock lighting.
