Lighting Analysis of a Park Stage Based on DIALux evo
YUAN Jianjun
Abstract:Nighttime performances on urban park stages impose the lighting design of"a brightly lit performance area and a comfortable audience area."Taking a 400 m2 open-air stage in a Guangzhou park as the case study, this study constructed a three-dimensional lighting model in DIALux evo 13.1.Through simulation analysis of the layout of LED floodlights, the illuminance distribution and glare values in the stage and audience areas are evaluated. The results showed that 200 W luminaires aimed at a predetermined angle provided the superior lighting performance. When the luminaire angle is tilted away from the audience, the glare in the auditorium is markedly reduced.Performers on stage are more strongly affected by light, and this effect scales with performance height;assigning independent control to selected fixtures can minimize glare. An average illuminance of 200 lx combined with a glare index below 25 meets the requirements for normal performance and viewing comfort.
