Abstract:Human psychology and physiology closely relate to the visual and non-visual effects of lighting. The role of lighting is especially prominent in the closed underground passenger room environment, which can regulate the physiology and psychology of passengers. Therefore, this study focuses on the lighting requirements of metro passengers during the three important time periods of going to work, leaving work, and going to bed and provides a theoretical basis for the lighting design of metro passenger rooms. In this paper,we first constructed a comprehensive evaluation model to assess the needs of underground passengers for the lighting environment and collected and collated the needs of passengers for the lighting environment at different time periods through semi-structured interviews, resulting in 33 lighting evaluation words;we used questionnaires and principal component analysis to filter out key lighting demand adjectives:Passengers at work have higher requirements for clear and soothing, sober and stable, and safe and healthy, and at the end of the day, passengers want lighting effects that are soft and relaxing, comfortable, and natural;before going to bed, passengers prefer relaxed and happy, soft and soothing, and even and warm lighting effects.Passengers at the end of their working hours have higher requirements for clarity, soothing, stability,Finally, the AHP hierarchical analysis method was used to calculate the weights of the passenger demand factors for each time period, and the reliability of the data analysis results was verified through the validity test.and health;passengers at the end of their working hours want a soft, relaxing, comfortable, and natural lighting effect;and passengers before going to bed prefer a relaxing, happy, soft, soothing, even, and warm lighting effect. Finally, the AHP hierarchical analysis method was used to calculate the weights of the passenger demand factors for each time period, and the reliability of the data analysis results was verified through the validity test. The application of mathematical and statistical analyses to the acquisition of underground passenger lighting demand helps to clarify the subjective demand of underground passenger room passengers for lighting environment design and provides a reference for future underground passenger room lighting design and evaluation.
