Abstract:Micro-LED(Micro Light Emitting Diode Displays),leveraging their advantages such as high pixel resolution, high brightness, low power consumption, long lifespan, high stability, and compact structure, have been applied in automotive vision systems and become one of the preferred light sources for intelligent vehicle lamps. This paper aims to develop objective methods for evaluating the optical performance of Micro-LED vehicle lamps, thereby providing data support for the R&D and certification testing of intelligent vehicle lamps. It focuses on exploring the corresponding measurement methods and technologies from two aspects:light source uniformity and image information quality of modules. To detect the luminous defects of Micro-LED packages, this paper adopts a high spatial resolution imaging luminance measurement device combined with a display image detection algorithm, which can clearly identify luminous units with a size of less than 40μm.Meanwhile,this paper also studies the evaluation method for the image information display quality of Micro-LED modules, and proposes the use of the modulation transfer function method as the evaluation index. It further analyzes the measurement method of this index.Practical measurements show that a scanning interval of at least 0.01° is required for scanning and measuring the projected image of Micro-LED to obtain a stably convergent evaluation result.
