Abstract:The white light-emitting diode(NUV-WLED)assembled by the near-ultraviolet chip and the red-green-blue phosphor can effectively alleviate the"blue light hazard"and improve the color rendering index.Bi2WO6:xEu3+(x=0.03-0.13)red phosphors were synthesized using a high-temperature solid-state reaction method. The results demonstrate that Eu3+doping does not alter the host crystal structure, with the samples exhibiting micron-sized particles. The band gap energy of Bi2WO6:0.09Eu3+was determined to be 2.98 eV.The primary excitation peak occurs at 296 nm,and the dominant emission peak is located at 616 nm(5D0→7F2).The maximum luminescence intensity was achieved at x=0.09.Concentration quenching occurs at x>0.09,primarily attributed to exchange coupling interactions between ions. The Bi2WO6:Eu3+phosphor shows promising potential for application in lighting and display fields, particularly to compensate for the red deficiency in white light-emitting diodes(w-LEDs).
